5980-0111 is specific for human matrix metalloproteinase 1 (MMP-1), an interstitial collagenase that is known to cleave collagen types I, II, III, VII and X.
This antibody does not react with MMP-2, MMP-9 or fibronectin in blots. Some reactivity with MMP-3 may occur depending on the dilution.
